The spirit of House of Horizon

House of Horizon is a couture-inspired ready-to-wear brand founded in Israel.
Rooted in craftsmanship, femininity, and thoughtful construction, each piece is designed to capture elegance with a modern spirit.
Every gown is handmade in limited quantities, allowing attention to detail, silhouette, and movement to remain at the heart of the process. From structured corsetry to soft draping and carefully selected fabrics, House of Horizon blends couture techniques with wearable design, creating pieces made to be remembered.

Our fabrics are personally selected in Israel, with many originating from Spain, and every design is created with an emphasis on beauty, comfort, and quality from the inside out. Even our linings are crafted from high-quality fabrics, a detail distinctive to our house and part of our commitment to luxury craftsmanship.

Founder & Designer
Batya Schwartz

I began sewing in high school as an after-school hobby, long before fashion became the path I would choose professionally. After years of army service and completing a degree in criminology and political science, I found myself searching for a deeper creative purpose. That search led me to study architecture and interior design at Shenkar College, where I learned to combine aesthetics, structure, and practicality into a cohesive design language.

Halfway through my studies, my life changed completely when my fiancé, Ofek, was killed during his army service. I stopped my studies and spent the following two years trying to rebuild myself, while working part-time in concert production. Somewhere during that period of grief and self-searching, I realized that the one thing that continuously pulled me back to myself was creating. Eventually, I made the decision to fully pursue my dream and create a fashion brand of my own.

Drawing from the discipline of architecture, the fast-paced world of production, and the personal experiences that shaped my journey, I committed myself completely to fashion design. I spent a month in Florence studying at Istituto Marangoni, focusing on fashion business planning, trend analysis, and collection development, before returning to private sewing lessons to further refine my technical skills.

Today, House of Horizon is a reflection of my journey, blending craftsmanship, structure, emotion, and modern femininity. Like the horizon itself, House of Horizon represents past vs present, possibility, emotion, and the meeting point between dream and reality.

In memory of
Major Ofek Aharon

The name Horizon comes from the word "Ofek," meaning horizon in Hebrew,  a name carrying deep personal meaning and inspiration behind the brand.

Major Ofek Aharon was killed during his military service while serving as a commander in Egoz, a special forces unit in the Israeli army. Ofek and I had been together for six years, engaged, and were meant to get married only a few months later.

One phrase Ofek always used to say was, "The sky is not the limit, it’s just my playground." That mindset of dreaming without limits, pushing forward, and choosing courage even in difficult moments, continues to inspire me every day, both in life and in the creation of House of Horizon.

House of Horizon was born from love, strength, journey, and the belief in carrying light forward even through loss.
